ABOUT

The Turkey Day Dash, a tradition for two decades, returns this fall after 2023 saw over 2,000 runners take to the streets around California Lutheran University for the first Dash since 2019. One hundred percent of proceeds will be divided among three local nonprofits: Ventura County Council of Boy Scouts, the Kiwanis Club of Thousand Oaks Foundation and the Southeast Ventura County YMCA, the event's founder and longtime host. Last year’s Dash raised over $56,000 for charity. The event pays special tribute to Zack Zernik, a lifelong "Dasher" who died tragically in January 2023 while climbing in open space outside Newbury Park.
